Evaluation Budget
Program evaluations can be quite costly for a program or organization to implement. As a result there must be a commitment from management to proceed with an evaluation. This commitment must be demonstrated in the form of staff and financial resources and seen as an investment in the program and the participants of the program. Sufficient resources must be allocated to ensure the ability to assess the outcomes of the program (Patton, 2008).
The DEC program evaluation will focus on changes in the participants’ knowledge, attitudes or behaviours and will provide detailed information about the program’s implementation. Management has committed staff and financial resources to support a comprehensive evaluation.
